Sometimes our kids appear so sweet and innocent.
Other times they sort of look like they are up to something.
Today we went to Woodland Park Zoo for the first time this year. It’s been a while since we have been there, but today there was lots of activity out there. Including lots of animals that don’t usually seem to be that active. These days when we get there the girls really like to visit the new penguin exhibit.
Danelle thought she saw a baby penguin through one of the windows, so Thea kept repeating baby while we were there.
The birds were excited to see food being offered to them.
Danelle managed to get two birds on her stick at once.
We managed to get a picture here with some monkeys in the shot. There is also a siamang.
Near here we also saw the Tapirs playing in the water, which was a first for us.
And as always, on the way out of the zoo, we have to stop at the Zoomazium.
And of course, to me the highlight of this post, here is a map of our track as we walked through the zoo. We kind of go in circles it would seem.

The reason it is my favorite part probably has something to do with it was generated by my new phone, along with all the pictures and videos in the post. I really enjoy playing with new electronics.

Thea may be the only 19 month old I know that enjoys eating salsa. She likes to eat it plain in a pile from which she can pick out chunks of salsa.
Last night we made the annual Trick or Treating trip. Danelle has a pretty firm grasp on how it all works this year and was ready to go. Our first stop was to meet up with some of her friends at Bothell’s Country Village. It was filled with cartoon characters of just about every type.
After that we made a quick dinner break before heading to Redmond Town Center where we normally go. By that point Thea started to walk up to people on her own and then beam when they handed her something also. She usually got sad when we helped her put it in her treat bag so her hands were empty for the next stop. By the end of the night we are stocked with about a year’s worth of treats. Too bad Danelle doesn’t like the candies with nuts, since she has said that Mom and Dad can eat all of those that they want. She seems to like the rest though.
