Visiting the Lutedome

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

This past weekend Dayna and Danelle attended a baby shower for Jillian hosted by Elise and Elisabeth (or Liesl and Lizzy Mama as Danelle referred to them).  I went to Tacoma with them in case Dayna needed driver to the hospital, but didn’t really want to stay at the shower, so I wandered around the PLU campus with the camera for a couple of hours.  Of course I should start with the obligatory shot of the rose window.

And one of Marty himself

There were also some nice flowers out and about.

I think this squirrel thought I was nuts.

Get it, nuts, so he looked at me!  And to prove even animals blink whenever you are taking their picture, we have this shot of him.

I’m thinking about getting some of these pretty flowers to grow around our house.

And Morken was looking a little different as I headed back to pick Dayna and Danelle up.

I’d tell you more about the baby shower, but I don’t know anything other than lots of women were there and they had some tasty snacks left when I picked the other two up.  Maybe Dayna will make a post of her own to tell about it.

Mowing the lawn

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

I’ve been starting to experiment with time lapse photo series lately.  Here is the first one I’ve finished, which is from mowing the lawn a few weeks ago.

To do this I used CHDK on a small Canon with an intervalometer script to take the pictures then ran the command:

convert -delay 25 *.JPG m2v:out.mpg
