Crossroads Park

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

A few weeks ago (this would be at least two snow storms back), Danelle and Thea went with me to Crossroads Park down in Bellevue.  We had never been there before, but decided to see what it was like.  It turns out one of the big draws there is a big water play area.

There are lots of rubberized whales and other animals scattered around with nozzles that I presume shoot water during the summer.  The blue ground is sort of a rubbery soft surface, perfect for Thea to play around on and not get covered by tree bark or dirt.

Despite what these pictures might suggest, the park was swarming with kids.  Both in the water area, and the regular playground equipment.  Danelle and I decided we’d go back this summer when the water is on.  I think Danelle has already been to more different (and almost all good) parks than I went to in my entire childhood.  They are all over the place in this area, and have really cool equipment.  I’ll try to put up some more posts over the summer as we discover more neat parks and play structures.
