Sunday School Concert

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Time to start catching up with Christmas and other holiday events. Expect a few more of these over the next week or so…

A few weeks ago was the big Sunday School concert for Danelle. She got to be a sheep in it. As it turned out, the only sheep, with about 6 shepherds.

I’m pretty sure she was the youngest kid there, but she still had fun.

O.K., Thea was younger, but she wasn’t in the show, she was part of the audience.

Remember when I said there were 6 shepherds? They still seemed to lose their one sheep most of the time.

After the concert, all the kids in it got a candy cane. Arguably the best part of the day for Danelle. Other than going to Mommy’s concerts (symphony and handbells) later that day. Yes, we were the annoying parents at both concerts with Mom playing, Dad in the hallway/narthex with a screaming infant, and a 3 year old by herself in the audience. We are pretty thankful to have a 3 year old we can even consider doing that with though. That would also be why there aren’t any pictures from those concerts.

May Symphony Concert

Friday, May 16th, 2008

For any friends or family that are reading this and are in the area, the Eastside Symphony has their final concert of the season this Sunday at 3:00 pm at the Kirkland Performance Center. Dayna has been playing viola with this group for a few years and has lots of fun with it. This current season, Danelle has frequently requested to go to Mommy’s concerts and doesn’t always understand why she can’t go each week to their practice. Luckily these concerts are usually very kid friendly, with kids 7 and under free.

If interested, there is more information at the above link. You can also buy tickets online for a $2 savings.
