Per tradition, we carved some pumpkins this year. Rather than doing them at home, Danelle’s preschool was hosting a pumpkin carving night that we attended. Dayna had also carved one the weekend earlier at a church pumpkin party. Danelle started to help, but didn’t want to get anything on her hands.
Since this was technically a Dad and kid event, the two workers that night were Dad and Danelle. For some reason pretty much every Mom and sibling, younger or older, tagged along. But the dads ended up doing most of the work, with their helpers.
In contrast to past pumpkin carving times, Danelle got her hands right in the thick of it. She even drew the faces on our pumpkins which we cut out. She is becoming quite the artist.
On the way out the door, someone had to make sure they could get all the pumpkin seeds possible. Those have been very tasty the last couple of days.
